I use the Chinese materia medica which has some overlap with
western herbs. I have a complete pharmacy of raw herbs at my office
so you can obtain your formula at the time of your visit. I will custom
design an herbal formula to precisely address your pattern as diagnosed
in our time together.
Raw herbs are cooked at home to make a medicinal tea that is drunk,
usually twice a day. If your lifestyle does not allow for cooking herbs,
I can also make the formula of precooked, dried herbs that you add to
a cup of hot water or tea for a medicinal drink. Finally I have herbal
formulas in pill form (The pills are more general formulas, not necessarily
as precise as the specifically designed formulas, but appropriate for
certain patterns). All of my herbs are chemical-free. If you are using
western pharmaceutical drugs, herbs may be safely taken two hours after
taking your medication.
